Day 0 | Lee’s Ferry, AZ | Feb. 14th, 2022
Slow Morning brought to you by Good Planning
After a luxurious morning of not having a bunch of work to do, we loaded up with Moenkopi Riverworks in their truck with trailer and motored out to Lee’s Ferry. A slight veil of high clouds hanging in the sky reminds us that tomorrow is going to be windy, cold, and rather strenuous.
Grand Canyon Rigging to Flip & to Live
We rigged in a matter of a couple hours, and now are feasting on a picnic of herbed fresh baked bread, salami, and horseradish cheddar cheese. And beers. We will camp at the river runners camp just around the eddy bend within a nest of grasses that are over 8 feet tall and lolling gently in the warning breeze.

What’s Downstream from here?
We have a 28 mile goal tomorrow, but we’ll see if the winds in Marble Canyon allow for that.
Glad we started doing push-ups two months ago.
