Do we need a permit to get married in a National Park or on public land?
Almost always, yes.
Most National Parks, State Parks, and even some National Forest lands require a Special Use Permit for wedding ceremonies, even if it’s just the two of you and your photographers. These permits ensure you are aware of rules that protect our public lands. But, don’t sweat the paperwork too much. We include permit assistance in our packages. We help you navigate the "government-speak" to make sure your day is 100% legal.

We embrace it—and we always have a Plan B. In the mountains or on the coast, the weather is more of a suggestion than a rule. If it rains, we bring clear umbrellas and enjoy the moody, cinematic vibes. If a literal blizzard or wildfire happens, we pivot to your pre-arranged "Plan B" location. Adventure elopements are about the experience, not just the "perfect" shot. Wind-blown hair and a bit of mud on the hem of your dress usually make for the best stories (and the best photos).
What happens if the weather is absolute chaos on our elopement day?

Absolutely not. Adventure is a spectrum.
While some couples want to summit a 14,000-foot peak at sunrise, others prefer a 10-minute stroll to a stunning overlook or a 4x4 Jeep tour to a secluded plateau. Your Day, Your Pace: We can find locations accessible by helicopter, gondola, boat, or car. The "adventure" part is about getting away from the traditional ballroom, not necessarily running a marathon in a tuxedo or ball gown.
Do we have to be 'hardcore hikers' to have an adventure elopement?

It’s as real as it gets, but the paperwork varies by state.
Some states allow self-solemnization. Many couples sign the legal documents at a local courthouse a few days before or after their adventure so they don't have to worry about finding an officiant willing to hike through a forest. But we went the extra mile: Kira is ordained and Forrest is your willing witness to sign off on your marriage license application.
Is this going to be a 'real' wedding? How do we make it legal?

Yes, but with some "Leave No Trace" caveats.
Most adventure elopements thrive with a guest count of 10 or fewer. As for your four-legged best friend, many public lands are dog-friendly, but some National Parks have strict "pavement only" rules for pets. If your pup is a dealbreaker, we’ll prioritize locations (like National Forests or BLM land) where they can roam freely and even "sign" your marriage license as a witness with a paw print.

How many Photos do we get?
Every couple and every experience is different. Some half day packages with high action couples demand more images, while other slower days have our shutter moving at a more precise and editorial pace. Whichever style your wedding ends up taking, we usually deliver between 200-400 hand retouched images to each gallery.
We are a high quality over quantity style of business. We also include video in all of our packages for the full coverage effect.
